Group Narative(AG)

Group Narrative

Final Idea:
Characters:

Young Woman
In our thriller the young girl will be seen as our victim throughout our opening. We decided to stick with the conventions of the thriller by using a vulnerable female dressed in white.

Murderer/Male Stalker
A mid aged male will be shown as the antagonist in our thriller. He will be seen stalking the female victim every moment of her day which will show the convention of obsession, sticking to the conventions of a thriller.

Sub Genres:

In our thriller our sub genres are going to link with crime and psychological. For the genre crime it will be shown through the male stalker that will be shown within the opening. This could possibly build up and lead to murder. The psychological genre will be shown through the mental instability that the male stalker has by having the obsession with the young woman.

Narrative:

Our thriller 'Obsession' will be set in a house; bedroom and bathroom. At the start the young girl will be in her bedroom on her laptop whilst on the phone to her boyfriend. The only light that will be showing is the beam of the laptop and a lamp that will be in the corner of the room. Suddenly everything in her bedroom cuts out, the laptop, phone and lamp, although the hall way lights are still on. As this happens she starts to get a bit wary and checks in the hall way if anyone is there as well as the making her way into the bathroom checking. She reassures herself by mumbling 'i'm being paranoid, nothings here'. As the tension has risen at this point she then trys calling her mum but fails to as it says there is no number recognised. As this happens the bathroom door suddently slams shut and shocks her making her hurry to her bedroom. Slowly, making her way to her room a shadow is seen appearing behind her on the wall of a hand coming ro grab her shoulder.

  1. Within your group narrative you also need to explain how the group narrative is conventional to a thriller and how the audience will be able to build a relationship with your characters
